Circuit MIDI Generator

Circuit is one of MIDI Maker’s experimental palettes: interlocking arpeggio machines. Every part arpeggiates — a rising lead sequence, a falling broken-chord gear and a root-fifth-octave bass — each on a 16th grid displaced against the others.

What to listen for: Three fast broken-chord patterns meshing like gears, one climbing, one falling, one spilling down, each landing in the gaps the others leave.

Roll a circuit track

Circuit is included with the Pro and Studio plans; the free plan covers five genres. See pricing.

How the engine writes circuit

The three machines mesh like gear teeth: each lands where the others leave gaps, directions disagree on purpose, and everything is dead straight and dry. A fourth gear is the kit: a dry tick-and-click pulse of wire ticks and a soft throb of a kick on the same 16th grid, with a telegraph tap on each chord change.

From a roll to your DAW

A roll defaults to 140 BPM (every preset and tempo is editable before and after generating) and plays back in the browser through the studio's own synths. When you like a take, export it as whole-track or per-instrument MIDI, or as WAV/MP3 audio — the drum part uses General MIDI numbering, so it lands correctly on any drum plugin. There are step-by-step import guides for Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic Pro.
