MIDI Maker is a browser-based aleatoric music engine. Aleatoric — from the Latin alea, dice — means composed with chance: thousands of weighted rolls decide melodies, basslines, chords and drums in seconds, and you shape every detail before exporting to your DAW.
Our mission
Remove the blank-page problem
Starting a new track is the hardest part. A blank DAW project stares back, and the gap between an idea in your head and anything that sounds like music can feel impossibly wide.
We built MIDI Maker to close that gap with chance. Roll a complete arrangement in a single click, then tip the odds — change the genre, swap the synth, shift the harmony, tighten the rhythm — and re-roll until the dice land on something that sounds like yours.
The output is always royalty-free. Export MIDI, WAV or MP3 and take it anywhere.
Why chance?
A 230-year-old idea, rebuilt for the browser
Composers have been rolling dice for centuries. The 1790s Musikalisches Würfelspiel assembled minuets from dice throws; John Cage composed with chance operations; Brian Eno let systems play on without him. Aleatoric music has always had one promise: chance takes you somewhere your habits never would.
MIDI Maker is that tradition as an instrument. Every generation is a cascade of weighted, stochastic choices — which scale degrees, which rhythm, which voicing, which drum hits — tuned per genre so the odds favour music, not noise. The dice are loaded before you ever touch them, and every control in the studio loads them further.
That's also why it isn't AI: there is no training data, no averaging of other people's records. Just probability, music theory, and you.

Browser synthesis
The entire synth engine runs inside your browser via the Web Audio API. No audio is streamed from a server — every sound is generated locally, in real time.
Stochastic composition
Music is composed by weighted chance operating on scales, rhythm patterns and progression logic — not sampled or remixed from existing recordings. Every roll is original.
Full editorial control
Every parameter is editable: oscillator shape, filter cutoff, reverb send, rhythm density, harmony voicing, tempo, key and scale. Generate first, sculpt second.
DAW-ready export
Export stems as MIDI, WAV or MP3 and drop them straight into Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Reaper, or any other DAW.
