Mosaic is one of MIDI Maker’s experimental palettes — the kit is tiles too: static snaps and glass pings in the seams, and a ping drum that shadows the lead. One implied line is split between two voices: the lead phrases in short bursts with real holes, and the second voice answers only in those holes, so together they tile the bar.
What to listen for: One melody split between two voices taking turns, each playing exactly where the other rests, so the tune is pieced together like tiles.
Mosaic is included with the Pro and Studio plans; the free plan covers five genres. See pricing.
How the engine writes mosaic
Every part is a tile: short notes, clean edges, almost nothing overlapping. The chords punch on the offbeats over one warm thin bed, the bass walks quietly in the seams, and a Mixolydian vamp holds still underneath so the dialogue carries the whole form.
From a roll to your DAW
A roll defaults to 116 BPM (every preset and tempo is editable before and after generating) and plays back in the browser through the studio's own synths. When you like a take, export it as whole-track or per-instrument MIDI, or as WAV/MP3 audio — the drum part uses General MIDI numbering, so it lands correctly on any drum plugin. There are step-by-step import guides for Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic Pro.
