Murmuration MIDI Generator

Murmuration is one of MIDI Maker’s experimental palettes: the kit is pressure and grain with no clock — a void kick, dust and sand static that thicken and thin with the flock. Three independent melody lines wheel as one body — one follower banks with the lead, the other against it — so the texture folds and unfolds like a flock turning.

What to listen for: Several melodies wheeling together like a flock of birds, thinning to a few lone notes, then swelling into a dense cloud under one thin, high chord.

Roll a murmuration track

Murmuration is included with the Pro and Studio plans; the free plan covers five genres. See pricing.

How the engine writes murmuration

Density moves in waves across every bar, velocities murmur with surges at each crest, and the three voices sit close in register but wide in the stereo field. Above them one thin sustained chord is the sky; below, the bass crosses the ground in long strides, and each section turns the whole flock’s light into a new key.

From a roll to your DAW

A roll defaults to 96 BPM (every preset and tempo is editable before and after generating) and plays back in the browser through the studio's own synths. When you like a take, export it as whole-track or per-instrument MIDI, or as WAV/MP3 audio — the drum part uses General MIDI numbering, so it lands correctly on any drum plugin. There are step-by-step import guides for Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic Pro.
