Pendulum is one of MIDI Maker’s experimental palettes: every track is exactly two chords, each held for two bars, swinging evenly from one to the other for the whole piece. The kit is a whisper: a breath of a kick on the swing, dust, and a glass ping where a phrase turns.
What to listen for: The harmony swings evenly between just two chords for the whole track, the music swelling into each turn like a weight passing through its arc.
Pendulum is included with the Pro and Studio plans; the free plan covers five genres. See pricing.
How the engine writes pendulum
The lead arcs upward as the harmony leans one way and falls as it returns, while a counter-melody mirrors it in contrary motion. The bass transfers its weight between the two roots in long strides, and every bar swells toward the next change. Stately, hypnotic, inevitable.
From a roll to your DAW
A roll defaults to 76 BPM (every preset and tempo is editable before and after generating) and plays back in the browser through the studio's own synths. When you like a take, export it as whole-track or per-instrument MIDI, or as WAV/MP3 audio — the drum part uses General MIDI numbering, so it lands correctly on any drum plugin. There are step-by-step import guides for Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic Pro.
