Folk draws its keys from a pool of modes — Dorian and Mixolydian alongside the usual major and minor — so rolls land in the slightly weathered tonalities the tradition actually uses.

How the engine writes folk
The palette is acoustic and the writing is song-shaped: a single melody carrying the tune, chords that strum rather than stab, and a kit that stays out of the way at 100 BPM.
From a roll to your DAW
A roll defaults to 100 BPM (every preset and tempo is editable before and after generating) and plays back in the browser through the studio's own synths. When you like a take, export it as whole-track or per-instrument MIDI, or as WAV/MP3 audio — the drum part uses General MIDI numbering, so it lands correctly on any drum plugin.
