Ableton MIDI Generator — Free Online

MIDI Maker is a free online MIDI generator that writes complete arrangements — melody, chords, bassline, and drums — as editable MIDI you can drop straight into Ableton Live. Roll ideas in the browser, keep the ones that work, and finish them with Live's instruments and effects.

How to use the MIDI in Ableton Live

1. Generate a track in the MIDI Maker studio, audition it until you like the arrangement, and download it as a .mid file.
2. In Ableton Live, drag the .mid file from your file manager (or Live's browser) into empty space in Session or Arrangement view — Live creates one MIDI track per part, so melody, chords, bass, and drums each land on their own track.
3. Drop an instrument onto each track: Wavetable or Operator for the pitched parts, a Drum Rack for the drum track (the file uses the General MIDI drum map, so kick sits at C1 and snare at D1).
4. Set Live's tempo to the BPM shown in the studio so the groove sits where it was written.
5. Double-click any clip to edit its notes in Live's MIDI Note Editor — transpose, thin out, or extend the parts like any other clip.

Stream MIDI live into Ableton Live

Beyond file export, the studio can stream MIDI into Ableton Live in real time: Live MIDI Out (Chrome/Edge) sends every generated note plus MIDI clock to a virtual port — IAC Driver on macOS, loopMIDI on Windows — that Live picks up as a normal input.
