Logic Pro MIDI Generator — Free Online

Free Logic Pro MIDI generator — build complete MIDI arrangements (melody, chords, bass, drums) in your browser and import them into Logic. No sign-up.

The MIDI Maker studio generating a full arrangement

The generator lives in the studio — roll full arrangements, edit every note, export MIDI, WAV or MP3.

MIDI Maker is a free online MIDI generator that writes whole arrangements — melody, chords, bassline, and drums — as editable MIDI regions ready for Logic Pro. Generate ideas in the browser, import them in one drag, and finish them with Logic's instrument library.

How to use the MIDI in Logic Pro

  1. Generate a track in the MIDI Maker studio and download it as a .mid file.
  2. Drag the file into an empty area of Logic Pro's Tracks view, or use File → Import → MIDI File.
  3. When Logic asks whether to import the file's tempo, choose Import so the project matches the BPM the arrangement was generated at.
  4. Logic creates one software instrument track per part — open the Library to swap sounds, e.g. a synth for the melody and Drum Kit Designer for the drum track (it uses the General MIDI drum map).
  5. Press P to open the Piano Roll and edit any region — quantize, transpose, or thin the parts to taste.

Stream MIDI live into Logic Pro

Logic can also receive the generator live: the studio's Live MIDI Out mode (Chrome/Edge) streams notes and MIDI clock through the macOS IAC Driver straight onto record-armed Logic tracks. Step-by-step setup lives in the MIDI Out docs and the live MIDI sequencer guide for Logic and Ableton. See the Live MIDI Out docs and the guide to using MIDI Maker as a live MIDI sequencer for the full walkthrough.

Frequently asked questions

Does the MIDI work with Logic Pro's stock instruments?

Yes — Logic opens the .mid as software instrument tracks, so the pitched parts play through Alchemy, Retro Synth, Sampler, or any AU plugin, and the drum part's General MIDI mapping lines up with Drum Kit Designer and Drum Machine Designer kits.

Can I stream MIDI live into Logic Pro?

Yes — enable Live MIDI Out in the studio (Chrome or Edge), point it at the macOS IAC Driver, and Logic receives the generator's notes like any MIDI keyboard. Record-arm a software instrument track and capture the performance as it generates.

Is the generated MIDI royalty-free?

Yes — everything the generator writes is royalty-free with no attribution required. Free and Pro output is licensed for personal projects, and the Studio plan adds a commercial-use licence for releases, games, videos and client work.
