Lo-Fi MIDI Generator

Lo-fi rolls slow and soft: mellow keys, a kit that pats rather than hits, and a melody content to repeat a small idea at 80 BPM.

Roll a lo-fi track

Lo-Fi is included with the Pro and Studio plans; the free plan covers five genres. See pricing.

How the engine writes lo-fi

The engine routes the pitched parts through a big shared hall, which is where the genre’s dusty distance comes from, and keeps velocities low so nothing pokes out. The drum patterns have their own dedicated tool page too.

From a roll to your DAW

A roll defaults to 80 BPM (every preset and tempo is editable before and after generating) and plays back in the browser through the studio's own synths. When you like a take, export it as whole-track or per-instrument MIDI, or as WAV/MP3 audio — the drum part uses General MIDI numbering, so it lands correctly on any drum plugin. There are step-by-step import guides for Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic Pro.
