R&B rolls on a swung sixteenth-note pocket at 90 BPM — the drums actually place hits on the late sixteenths, which is where the genre’s glide comes from.
R&B is included with the Pro and Studio plans; the free plan covers five genres. See pricing.
How the engine writes r&b
Smooth extended chords carry the harmony, and two melody voices phrase like a lead vocal and its ad-libs, trading and overlapping. Slow it down further and it leans neo-soul; push it up and it turns into pop.
From a roll to your DAW
A roll defaults to 90 BPM (every preset and tempo is editable before and after generating) and plays back in the browser through the studio's own synths. When you like a take, export it as whole-track or per-instrument MIDI, or as WAV/MP3 audio — the drum part uses General MIDI numbering, so it lands correctly on any drum plugin. There are step-by-step import guides for Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic Pro.
