The soul generator layers its harmony: a warm held chord bed underneath and a separate comping voice answering on top, the way a Rhodes and a rhythm guitar share a groove.
Soul is included with the Pro and Studio plans; the free plan covers five genres. See pricing.
How the engine writes soul
At 95 BPM the kit plays behind the beat, percussion adds hand-played detail, and two melody voices phrase like a singer and their backing line. It is the engine’s warmest pocket.
From a roll to your DAW
A roll defaults to 95 BPM (every preset and tempo is editable before and after generating) and plays back in the browser through the studio's own synths. When you like a take, export it as whole-track or per-instrument MIDI, or as WAV/MP3 audio — the drum part uses General MIDI numbering, so it lands correctly on any drum plugin. There are step-by-step import guides for Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic Pro.
