Cubase MIDI Generator — Free Online

MIDI Maker is a free online MIDI generator that produces complete arrangements — melody, chords, bassline, and drums — as standard MIDI files Cubase imports as ready-to-route MIDI tracks. Generate ideas in the browser, then finish them with Cubase's instruments and MIDI editors.

How to use the MIDI in Cubase

1. Generate a track in the MIDI Maker studio and download it as a .mid file.
2. In Cubase, choose File → Import → MIDI File, or drag the .mid into the Project window.
3. When Cubase asks about the tempo track, choose Yes to import the file's tempo so the project runs at the generated BPM.
4. Cubase creates one MIDI track per part — route each to an instrument, e.g. add an instrument track with HALion Sonic for the pitched parts and Groove Agent for the drum track (General MIDI mapping).
5. Double-click any part to open the Key Editor and edit the notes, or use the Drum Editor on the drum track.

Stream MIDI live into Cubase

For a hands-on workflow, the studio's Live MIDI Out mode (Chrome/Edge) streams notes and MIDI clock to a virtual port Cubase reads as a regular MIDI input — record the generator live instead of importing files. Yes — Cubase imports the .mid as MIDI tracks you can route to HALion Sonic, Retrologue, Padshop, or any VSTi. The drum part uses General MIDI drum numbers, so Groove Agent's GM-mapped kits play it correctly.

Can I stream MIDI live into Cubase?

Yes — enable Live MIDI Out in the studio (Chrome or Edge) and point it at a virtual MIDI port (IAC Driver on macOS, loopMIDI on Windows). Cubase sees the port as a normal input, so a record-enabled MIDI or instrument track captures the generator in real time.
